Myengenuk Gizhkeking Endaat Farming for Community

In the spring of 2020, Local Food Manitoulin launched the Myengenuk Gizhkeking Endaat Farming for Community project in partnership with farm owner Richard Lathwell. The team works two large garden plots, cultivating fresh food for the mobile market. The farm hosts hundreds of mature fruit trees and perennial shrubs and plants. Apples, staghorn sumac, choke cherries, raspberries and rhubarb are harvested to contribute to the markets and Harvest to Share.  

We hire Farm Staff and coordinate volunteer efforts to increase productivity, provide experience in the agriculture sector and host opportunity for community investment in the project.
